Samuel Sommer
Sam is a Program Manager, Trainer, and Coach with Lead Beyond. After completing an MSc in Sustainable Development in Switzerland, he moved to Ethiopia in 2017 and has since been involved in managing a private sector company while developing, producing, and marketing a water filtration solution for the urban and rural Ethiopian market. For multiple years, Sam provided and managed leadership and organizational development initiatives for various INGOs and governmental aid agencies, and capacitated young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector with market development skills.
Sam's experience extends to campaigning, social work, education for children with disabilities, and research in decentralized natural resource management in the Global South.
He brings fluency in German and English, along with strong cross-cultural communication skills, to foster positive and sustainable change.
