Sam is a Project Manager, trainer, and coach with Lead Beyond. After his Bachelors in Geography and Sports, he graduated from an MSc in Sustainable Development. He moved to Ethiopia in 2017, when he joined Desert Rose Consultancy Plc and led the marketing and sales initiatives for their locally developed and produced water filter (now called Minch). There he developed culturally sensitive sales and marketing trainings and piloted a rural distribution channel through community Self-help Groups. Later Sam became the consultancy’s acting general manager, co-leading business development, conducting team-development trainings with EU institutions, and writing research and training proposals. He has further work experience in campaigning, social work with teenagers, educated children and people with disabilities in sports and conducted scientific research in the sphere of decentralized natural resources management in the Global South. He leverages German and English language skills as well as cross-cultural communication to encourage positive and sustainable change.
